Medical Research Institute Set to Communicate its Achievements

Skilled Public Relations practitioner Carolyn Monaghan has joined the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), taking on the newly-created role of Communications Manager.

Ms Monaghan comes to WA's premier adult medical research institute from the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations), where she held the position of PR and Media Manager for 18 months.

Prior to working in Public Relations, Carolyn Monaghan was a journalist and producer in the media in Western Australia and London for almost 20 years.

With significant experience in both television and radio, her most recent journalistic position was roving reporter for the Breakfast program on ABC Local Radio in Perth.

WAIMR Acting Director Peter Leedman said Carolyn had the ideal skill set to raise the public profile of the Institute's cutting edge research.
