WAIMR Welcomes Keith Kessell to its Board

WA's premier adult medical research institute, the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR), is delighted to announce the appointment of Keith Kessell to its Board.

Mr Kessell was the long-standing former Executive General Manager of Public Affairs at Wesfarmers, responsible for relations with media, government and community groups, as well as the Group's approach to sustainability, before retiring from the role in 2008.

WAIMR Acting Director Professor Peter Leedman said Mr Kessell would bring a wealth of experience with him.

"Wesfarmers was a founding sponsor of WAIMR and has been one of our strongest supporters from day one, and Keith has much knowledge of our operations and direction so we are exceptionally pleased he is joining our Board," he said.

Mr Kessell is also a Member of the Board of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
