Fundraising Director Joins Medical Research Institute

Lesley Hooper has joined WA's premier adult medical research institute, taking on the newly-created role of Director of Fundraising.

Ms Hooper comes to the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research (WAIMR) from the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) Foundation where she held the position of Fundraising Manager.

With 14 years of experience in the fundraising industry - 13 of those at the PMH Foundation -WAIMR Acting Director Peter Leedman said Lesley was well placed to lead the Institute's fundraising program.

"We're very excited to have Lesley on board - WAIMR is entering a significant growth phase that includes the creation of two state-of-the-art new buildings and to have someone with her expertise on the team is invaluable," he said.
