Go Ahead for New Research Headquarters

The WA Planning Commission has approved the construction of the new WAIMR building at the QEII Medical Centre in Nedlands, allowing work on the complex to begin in earnest.

WAIMR Director, Peter Klinken said he was pleased that the approval process was officially completed, as the complex would house the premier adult medical research facility in Western Australia.

Site works have begun for the new $110 million complex.
