Diabetes: Lifting the Weight from the World

A group of Western Australia's prominent researchers and diabetes experts will come together on World Diabetes Day to discuss the battle against this growing epidemic.

The evening seminar 'Diabetes: Lifting the Weight from the World' will take place in the evening of Wednesday November 14 in the WAIMR Seminar room at the QEII Medical Centre in Nedlands.

All are welcome to attend the seminar which will feature personal perspectives on diabetes, as well as information about new research projects and recent discoveries on track to developing improved treatments and possible cures for the disease.

The seminar is a joint initiative between the Western Australian Institute for Medical Research, the Diabetes Research Foundation and Diabetes WA.

Update: For those who were unable to attend the seminar, a recording has been made available with the assistance of the Arts Multimedia Centre at the University of Western Australia. The presentation is approximately 1hr 50min in length.
