2007 Epigenetics Conference - A Call for Abstracts

Abstracts are being sought for a conference in Perth that will turn the spotlight on the emerging field of epigenetics.

The Epigenetics 2007 Australian Scientific Conference is being held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 4 to 7 and will be opened by West Australian Industry and Enterprise Minister Francis Logan.

Scientific sessions will be presented by leading Australian and international speakers covering topics including chromatin structure and function, DNA methylation, epigenetic regulation of development, non-coding RNAs, epigenetics of human disease (developmental disorders, mental health and disease), epigenetic responses to the environment, and epigenetic technologies.

The conference aims to bring together bioscience researchers working on plants, fungi and animals, including humans and has concurrent sessions with the 5th International Congress on Developmental Origins of Health & Disease (DOHaD).

The world's foremost experts in epigenetics will present at the Conference, including;

  • Andrew Feinberg (John Hopkins Genome Center in Epigenetics, Baltimore, USA)
  • Charles Cantor (Chief Scientific Officer, Sequenom. Inc., Director, Center for Advanced Biotechnology, Boston University, USA)
  • Thomas Jenuwein (Senior Scientist, Research Institute of Molecular Pathology, Vienna, Austria)
  • Thomas R Gingeras (Vice President of Biological Sciences, Affymetrix, Santa Clara, USA, and member of the Encyclopedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) Project Consortium)

Abstracts are invited for poster display and some authors may be offered the opportunity to make an oral presentation.

Abstracts will only be accepted via online submission at www.epigenetics2007.com (guidelines found online).
